Step 5: Cleaning and Sanitizing

Many water saturations which are caused by CAT 2 or CAT 3 water sources could contaminate your walls, ceilings and furniture by microorganisms.  According to the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration, some types of water losses can become grossly contaminated.  If you incur a flooding loss or a sewage back up SERVPRO will need to clean and sanitize both your structure and contents after one of these types of losses because they contain harmful bacteria.  Our IICRC Certified Technicians understand that they need to act fast and apply our EPA certified disinfectant to help prevent further contamination to your property.
